Freshest frescoes

Long time ago in a land far, far away, a monastery was built into the mountain. Never mind the beautiful drive winding up through the forest to the top. The frescoes are absolutely gorgeous.It’s eerie that most of the eyes have been scratched out and only the faceless bodies remain. This may have to do with biblical figures in a predominately Islamic state. However, both the Catholic and Islamic religions are represented on the same pock-marked walls.
